Sheds Light on new Legal Entity Identifier
SIMAH, the Saudi Credit Bureau, recently hosted a workshop for the banking sector on one of its new services, “Moa’rif”. Moa’rif identifies legal entities (juridical entities, companies and enterprises) using a unique identifier based on the internationally adopted standard, developed by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF). GLEIF was established in 2014 by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) - an international body endorsed by the G20 that monitors and makes recommendations about the global financial system - as a not for profit organization to support the implementation and use of the legal entities identifier system.
